Position Title: Administrative Assistant

Reports To: Executive Director, OVCEF

Hours: 5–10 hours per week (flexible schedule within school hours, 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM); Evening and weekend availability may be requested on an as-needed basis.

Work Location: Oley Valley High School (with ability to work from home at times, after initial training period)


Position Summary

The Oley Valley Community Education Foundation (OVCEF) is seeking a detail-oriented, creative, and organized Administrative Assistant to support the Executive Director in carrying out day-to-day operations and communications. This part-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys writing, design, and community engagement while supporting the mission of enhancing educational opportunities for Oley Valley students.


Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and send thank-you letters to donors and sponsors.
  • Create flyers, registration forms, and other materials for OVCEF events and fundraisers.
  • Use CRM to record contacts and donations received.
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating photos and videos of Education Grants at Oley Valley High School.
  • Write and publish blog posts and social media updates highlighting Education Grants and OVCEF activities.
  • Contribute content to the monthly Oley Valley School District newsletter.
  • Provide general clerical support, including document preparation, spreadsheet updates, and other administrative tasks as needed.


Qualifications

  • Required: All necessary clearances to work within the Oley Valley School District.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Canva, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Drive, etc.), and CRM systems preferred.
  • Highly organized, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to assist with OVCEF events and fundraisers is a plus.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
  • Knowledge about OVCEF and its mission is preferred.
  • Must sign an Independent Contractor Agreement prior to beginning work.


Compensation

Part-time, hourly position, during school year (September-May)

(Compensation to be discussed based on experience.)
