Our History

Since 1996, the Oley Valley Community Education Foundation has been turning community support into real opportunities for our students. OVCEF was created with a simple but powerful idea: that a strong community can do even more for its schools when it comes together with a shared purpose. What began as a way to provide additional resources has grown into an organization that helps bring innovative ideas to life across the Oley Valley School District. While much has changed over the past three decades, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to supporting students, empowering educators, and strengthening the connection between our schools and the community.

And that word - community - is intentionally part of our name.

Because our impact doesn't stop at the classroom. Through partnerships with organizations like the Oley Valley Community Library, our membership with the Oley Valley Business Association, and support of community programs and events such as the Oley Fair, Oley Valley Youth League, and Oley Valley Football & Cheer Alliance, we are proud to play a role in the experiences that bring Oley Valley together.

Because at the heart of it all, OVCEF has always been, and continues to be, powered by the people who call Oley Valley home.
