Scholarships

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Application Due Date:  February 29, 2024, 11:59 PM

Beginning January 3, 2024, qualifying candidates for the 

Philip B. Fleck Memorial Scholarship*,

Sally Breidegam Miksiewicz Scholarships,

OVCEF Scholarships,

 Walter Levan Skilled Trades Scholarship sponsored by Levan Machine & Truck Equipment*,

and the Sports Medicine Alumni Scholarship* **

are required to complete and submit the OVCEF Scholarship Application, cover letter including 3 references, and resume to participate in an interview with the Foundation Board of Trustees and agree to attend a recap meeting during Lynx period on    April 24th or 25th.

**Those applicants applying for the Sports Medicine Alumni Scholarship will be required to attend a second interview. Date to be determined.   

 Interviews will take place on the evenings of Tuesday, March 19, 2024, and Wednesday, March 20, 2024, beginning at 6 PM. 

Failure to show or notify the Foundation why you are unable to attend your interview prior to your scheduled interview time, may result in forfeiture of your application.

Any senior who plans to further his or her education after high school at an institution of higher learning is encouraged to apply for these scholarships using the " OVCEF Scholarship Application ". 

Candidates for the Positive Impact Scholarship are nominated by Oley Valley faculty. A committee of Oley Valley faculty and staff members, chaired by middle school language arts teacher, Kenneth Bagenstose, Jr., selects the recipient of this scholarship.

Applicants are required to complete the Google form,

including the submittal of a 

cover letter, 3 references (name, contact information, and connection to you), and resume. 

Tips for a Successful Application

The recipients of these Foundation-funded scholarships are scheduled to be announced at the yearly Senior Awards Ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 6:30 PM in the Oley Valley High School auditorium.
